1. Ask the casualty to support the injured hand. Place the bandage between the injured arm and
the chest. Pull one end of the bandage up around the back of the neck, to the injured side |
2. Bring the lower end of the bandage up, to cover over the injured arm. Meet both ends of the bandage. |

3. Tie the bandage with reef knot, at the hollow of the injured side of the collar bone. Tuck
in the ends of the reef knot. Pin or tuck in the point of the bandage at the elbow |
Small Arm Sling / Elevation Sling

1. Ask the casualty to support the injured hand. Place the bandage between the
injured arm and the chest. Pull one end of the bandage up around the back of the neck, to the injured side |
2. Cover the injured arm with bandage, with the end over the shoulder The point is well beyond
the elbow of the injured side |

3. Support the injured arm. Tuck the base under forearm, behind the elbow. |
4. Bring the lower end diagonally up across the casualty's back and meet with the other end. |

5. Tie a reef knot at the hollow of the collar bone. Tuck the end under the knot. Fold the point
forward. Tuck in the loose bandage |
Head Bandage / Scalp Bandage |

1. Fold a hem along the base of the bandage. Put the bandage on the casualty's head above
eyebrows. Let the point of bandage hand down. |
2. Bring both ends to the back of the casualty's head, with the hem above the ear. |

3. Cross the ends and bring the ends to the front of the casualty's head. Use the reef knot to
tie the ends at the center of casualty's forehead. |
4. Fold the point of the bandage over the crossed ends at the back and tuck in. |
